Unite! for sustainable energy will be held on the 24th of September, from 10 to 11.30 (CET) in English. It will be a joint session interactive session, including students and researchers from each partner university.

Logo-SHARPER TORINO-colori2.pngThe European Researchers' Night was created by the European Commission and takes place yearly, typically starting on the last Friday of the month of September. This event targets the general public, addressing and attracting people regardless of the level of their scientific background, with a special focus on families, pupils and students, and notably those who do not have easy access to, and thus are less inclined to engage in, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) or research activities.

One of the political priorities of the European Commission is the European Green Deal for the European Union and its citizens, with an aim to tackle climate and environmental-related challenges. Participants of this event are therefore encouraged to include activities relating to the European Green Deal in their events.

For this year’s Researchers' Night, the Unite! alliance is organising a joint session with each of its partner universities aimed at upper secondary schools. During our session the European Commission will present the "European Universities" initiative to students, and researchers from the alliance will discuss the frontiers of energy research with students. Discover the programme here.

Unite! students from all the countries of the alliance will be able to attend the session and in each university one class will be chosen to actively participate in the session by preparing a question, a curiosity on the topic of energy or on the topic of European Universities, to be discussed by the panel of speakers. Each country will have a zoom classroom assigned to follow the researchers' talk.

The talk will also be open to everyone but only students will be able to address the questions previously submitted. If you are interested in joining this session but you are not part of the chosen class from your Unite! partner university, you can join us through this link: https://polito-it.zoom.us/j/82903741908?pwd=TXd2SzZsdGdzSDJhUlpYdzlISjZ2dz09
