
Pia Schmitt has built a strong career in international cooperation and educational project management, with expertise in academia, vocational pedagogy, and global partnerships. She has focused on enhancing cross-cultural exchanges and developing innovative programs that promote lifelong learning and global collaboration. She holds a Magister Artium degree (Master of Arts degree) in Vocational Education, Political Science and Anglistics from TU Darmstadt.
In 2020, Pia Schmitt joined KTH as a Senior Advisor for International Relations. She has contributed significantly to several task forces within Unite!. Since May 2024, she took over the role as Deputy Key Liaison Officer for Unite!.
She also serves as the administrative head of the KTH-India cooperation. She manages and coordinates joint initiatives, ensuring that the partnership continues to thrive and produce impactful outcomes in both academic, research and industry domains. From 2012 to 2019, she worked as a Partnership and Mobility Manager for Asia at the International Office and as a Research Assistant and Project Officer at the Institute for General and Vocational Pedagogy at TU Darmstadt.
