Addressed to students willing to be part of a multidisciplinary team composed by colleagues from other national and foreign universities. During 3 weeks (face-to-face), participants will be encouraged to develop innovative techniques that may contribute to the current challenges of the Oceans sustainability.
The idea of Unite!’s International Project Week has accompanied the alliance from the early stages of our European University. Conceived as a growing family of short-term exchange programs offered to the international community of Unite! students, the initiative started in 2020 with INSPIRED, the International Project Week for Interdisciplinary Research-Oriented Digital Learning at TU Darmstadt. At the same time, the educational concept of the challenge-based research project set in an international environment was transferred to our partner at the ULisboa who developed their own Interdisciplinary Studies on Sustainable Environment and Seas: ULisses.

ULisses takes place both virtually and face-to-face, in Lisboa. Firstly, participants will take part in a preparatory phase (via e-learning), which will be compatible with the classes of the second semester and which will last for 10 weeks. At the end of the preparatory phase, students will get together face-to-face in an international multidisciplinary team, whose task will be to develop innovative techniques that may contribute to the solution of an important challenge related to the sustainability of the Oceans.

The applications for the second edition of the ULisses project are already open and will close by the end of February. In order to clarify any doubts of the participants who would want to participate, there will be two Q&A sessions at different time slots so that everyone can access them.
