Unite! Virtual Matchmaking: Building Horizon Europe Consortia
Are you looking for international partners to join high-impact research projects? As part of the Unite! Widening Project, we invite researchers and non-academic partners to a strategic matchmaking event designed to forge new consortia for Horizon Europe applications.
This initiative follows a two-step formula to ensure only the most promising project ideas move forward to full proposal development.
Focus Areas
The matchmaking covers four key thematic pillars:

- Circular Economy & Materials
- Digital & Autonomous Technologies
Step 1: Virtual Pre-Matchmaking (Online)
Date: Thursday, 19 March 2026 | Time: 13:00–15:30 CET
This initial session is a broad platform to establish first contact between potential coordinators and partners. Participants will discuss up to 48 open Horizon Europe topics. The goal is to identify teams with a committed lead and a strong core of partners.
Step 2: In-Person Matchmaking (Oropa, Italy)
Date: 12–13 May 2026 (Save the date!)
Selected consortia will meet in Italy for in-depth workshops to finalise their joint proposals and set a clear roadmap toward the application deadlines.
