Digital Business Master Class organized by Aalto University is a masters-level intensive course (6 ECTS) focusing on digital technologies as tools for building businesses. Challenge-based learning is at the heart of the course experience, since students get to apply their knowledge to real-life company projects in international teams.
During the Digital Business Master Class, students explore topics including platform business models, data-intensive business, data-driven marketing and leadership in the digital age. In addition to business topics, students learn design thinking to build their project solutions. The DBMC is open to students of all fields, but basic business knowledge is required to keep up with the pace of the lectures and project work.
Course schedule spring 2022
The course consists of self-paced pre-work and post-work and two intensive weeks of lectures and project work in teams.
7-18 February: Pre-work (online)
- Self-paced course orientation
- Individual research for the team project
7-18 March: Lectures & Project work (on campus at Aalto)
- Daily lectures (Mon-Fri at 9:00-12:00)
- Teamwork on a company project
by 25 March: Post-work (online)

Course Fee
Unite! students get 50% discount on the course fee of 1600 Euros. The student will also need to cover the travel and accommodation in Finland during the two weeks of the on campus part of the course on 7-18 March, 2022.
